Watch the stunning music video for Kesha’s new anthem ‘Rainbow’
Kesha has unveiled the music video for her new anthem ‘Rainbow’.
The singer, who came out as bisexual in 2013, made her long-awaited return to music last year after her ongoing legal battles with a guest spot on Zedd’s ‘True Colors’.
‘Rainbow’ is the title track from her third album, released today. It follows 2012’s Warrior and her 2010 debut Animal.
The song is her latest comeback track and follows ‘Praying’ which was released last month.
The ‘Rainbow’ music video – which you can watch in full below – shows Kesha recording the song live-to-tape at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles.
In the track, Kesha sings: “I’ve found a rainbow, rainbow, baby / Trust me, I know, life is scary / But just put those colours on, girl / Come and play along with me tonight”
The understated but stunning music video begins with Kesha and her male backing singers running through part of the chorus a capella.
The song then kicks off with piano and Kesha’s solo vocals before the other instruments build up.

Kesha recently gave a live performance of another Rainbow track, ‘Woman’ which contained a nod to Destiny’s Child in its lyrics.

“I buy my own things / I pay my own bills / These diamond rings / my automobiles,” she sings.
The official video for that track showed Kesha at the Oddity Bar, a bar in Delaware which holds drag shows.
Andrea McCauley, one of the owners of Oddity Bar, told PinkNews that her bar holds “a drag show on the last Sunday of every month called, Oddity’s Night of Divas”.
She added that the institution’s bartender, Ron Killen aka Veronica Kitten, “organises and hosts the shows, and that’s her behind the bar in the video”.
Prior to last year’s Presidential election, Kesha urged her fans to vote for Hillary Clinton rather than Donald Trump in the hope of protecting LGBT rights in the US.
