Five-year-old’s reaction to his brother coming out as gay is beautiful

Joseph McCormick July 27, 2017

Children don’t judge and are usually honest – as proven by this clip of a five-year-old reacting to his big brother coming out to him as gay.

Oliver Potter, a YouTuber, recorded his coming out to his little brother Alfie and posted it to his channel.

In it he asks him “how do you think about love?” and the five-year-old’s reaction is brilliant.

He responds: “If you’re a mum and you want to be in love with a dad, you get in love with them.”

To which Potter asks: “How would it make you feel if I married a man?”

Alfie immediately and excitedly responds: “If you marry a man it’s going to be so cool… I saw in one movie a man was in love with another man and everyone was saying cool, cool.”

And speaking the truth, he adds: “Love is love.”

Alfie also adds: “When you have a baby, you’ll get the ones who got lost.”

The pair then sing an improvised song about being who you want to be and doing what you want to do.

Speaking to the Mirror, Potter said why he wanted to share the video.

He says: “I hope it gives people courage to open up the conversation with their friends, siblings, children or whoever they choose.

“Since Alfie has known I’m gay he has been as loving as always. He has even been to school and told his friends that his brother would marry a man.”

The video, posted yesterday, has been viewed tens of thousands of times.

Earlier this month, an author dragged up her son who was inspired to put on makeup while watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, and it was beautiful.

But somehow people turned it into a negative, accusing the mother of child abuse.

A nine-year-old boy was crying tears of joy after getting a surprise Halloween visit from one of his heroes: Bob the Drag Queen.

C.J. Duron received the unexpected visit after his plans to dress as the Drag Race winner for Halloween went viral earlier this month.

This 14-year-old boy underwent a stunning transformation into Nicki Minaj for a performance.

An eight-year-old drag queen was getting a lot of love online, after stealing the show during a Bianca Del Rio comedy set.

Adele also proved she is an amazing mum – letting her young son dress as Anna from Frozen on a trip to Disneyland.
