Ryan Murphy just confirmed the American Horror Story season 7 title

American Horror Story is a series like few other on current TV.

Every season in the long-running horror anthology has a completely different storyline.

While many of the same actors pop up again and again, they will almost always be playing a different character.

The debut season Murder House first aired all the way back in October 2011.

It was followed by Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel and last year’s Roanoke.

The announcement of every new season has fans clawing all over the internet for any details of what the new run will be about.

And of course the biggest indication comes in the season title.

Season 7 will air on September 5 – starring Colton Haynes – and Ryan Murphy this morning fired the starting gun on the speculation about what we’ll be seeing when AHS returns to our screens.

He did it with a single, simple word.

Murphy had been leading up to the announcement for a few days.

“Official American Horror Story Season 7 title will be revealed Thursday July 20. And suddenly… it will all make sense,” he had previously said.

“Wait a minute…you want the main title sequence to return this year?!

“It’s not HIVE #ahs

“It’s not ANN COULTER #ahs.”

Whatever happens in AHS: Cult, the series isn’t going away, as the series was renewed in January 2017 for seasons eight and nine.
