Mariah Carey is embracing her status as a gay icon, flogging her own range of Pride merchandise.

The singer this month unveiled her ‘Mariah Pride’ collection, which features a range of designs celebrating her LGBT fans.

The line includes a range of Mariah themed tank tops, hoodies and t-shirts featuring rainbows over images of the singer.

Some of the proceeds from the merchandise will go to LGBT media advocacy nonprofit GLAAD.Mariah Carey

The site says: “A portion of proceeds will be donated to GLAAD. GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance.

“As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.”

Mariah Carey took to Instagram to promote the Pride line, posing in a Pride t-shirt.

She added: “My limited edition PRIDE merch is available NOW”.

The singer was honoured last year at the GLAAD Media Awards.

GLAAD President & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said: “Through her music and outspoken support, Mariah Carey has inspired and empowered countless LGBT fans across the globe.

“She is a longtime ally and friend to the LGBT community who has worked tirelessly to move acceptance and inclusion forward.”

Accepting the award, Carey shared a special message for the LGBT community, saying, “Thank you for the unconditional love… I thank you, and I wish all of you love, peace, [and] harmony.”

The  diva recently paid a moving tribute to a victim of the Manchester bombing attack.

Martyn Hett, 29, was a fan of the singer.

She wrote: “Devastated to learn that one of the victims in Manchester was part of the #Lambily.
