Melissa McCarthy takes her Sean Spicer podium and rides around New York for SNL
Melissa McCarthy has been spotted riding around New York on her White House podium.
The actor is due to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, and clearly has quite the sketch planned.
McCarthy has become renowned for her impersonation of Donald Trump’s White House press secretary.
She’s now set to reprise the role with a new skit on this Saturday’s SNL.
Videos posted on Twitter show McCarthy slowly driving down the street with a line of cars following her.
In one video, McCarthy can be heard yelling “come on!” and “watch out!” to passerby and other cars.
New Yorkers who spotted the trundling actor were quick to post videos on social media of the bizarre spectacle.

McCarthy first appeared as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on SNL a few months ago, when she absolutely killed it.
The actor, who recently starred in the Ghostbusters remake, took on the role of Spicer and perfectly mocked relations between the Trump administration and the press.
McCarthy completely nailed the relationship as she took a defensive stance against each journalist.
She addressed the “rocky start” that Spicer and the press had: “When I say rocky start, I mean it in the sense of Rocky the movie. Because I came out here to punch you! In the face!”
Before starting on the group of journalists, that included Kristen Stewart, ‘Spicer’ talked about apologising to the reporters.
“I’d like to begin today by apologising on behalf of you, to me, for how you treated me in the last two weeks.”
The actor goes on to announce Trump’s schedule for the day, and addresses his recent pick for Supreme Court nominee.
