A notorious homophobic pastor has been jailed for 15 months for making indecent images of children.

Daniel Erickson-Hull, 41, of Newham, London, is best known via his internet persona ‘Pastor D’.

In online video rants, Erickson-Hull slammed a local school for running an LGBT Awareness Month, alleging that it was “forcing filth” on children and leading a “transgender gender bender agenda.”

The self-proclaimed evangelical pastor, who had a following of thousands, also claimed that “1970s children’s TV show ‘Rainbow’ predicted the agenda to homosexualise the world”.

Erickson-Hull was jailed on Friday in a sentencing hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The pastor, who led Higher Ground Church in Chigwell, had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to charges including making indecent images of children and possessing prohibited images of children.

Appearing in court, he was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment and and ordered to pay a surcharge of £100.

Erickson-Hull was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, putting him on the sex offenders’ register.

An NSPCC spokesperson said: “Erickson-Hull’s crimes have helped fuel the vile trade in indecent images of children.

“We must not forget that every single one of these images is a crime scene and real children are abused so they can be created.”

They continued: “Viewing and sharing this terrible material creates a market for it and it is right that people who do so, like Erickson-Hull, face the courts for their crimes.”

Erickson-Hull previously uploaded videos in which he refers to PinkNews as a “homosexual Sodomite filthy newspaper”.

He also claimed that same-sex marriage is “an abomination” and that homosexuality is “hideous”.
