There’s exciting news for Ellen DeGeneres fans.

The queen of daytime talk is set to get a brand new show, following on from the daily talk show she already hosts.

Ellen’s Show Me More Show, a YouTube series featuring original celebrity interviews, musical performances, and fun segments, is set to broadcast twice a week.

The exact start date for the new series isn’t yet known, but it’s expected to be at some point during 2017.

DeGeneres already has a huge following on the video site, with an incredible 20 million followers and almost nine billion video views to date.

DeGeneres said, “I love this new show because not only can you see brand-new, hilarious stuff, but it also gives me extra time to spend with celebrities.

“So you’ll learn things you didn’t know. Like did you know that Oprah’s real name is Sally? See? It’s gonna be really interesting.”

She also tweeted that her new show would be “youtuberific”, which we don’t understand, but it’s Ellen, so it’s probably brilliant.

The new Ellen show is thought to be part of a major new investment by YouTube, with a string of other stars recently signing up.

The streaming service has also booked Kevin Hart, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Ludacris, Rhett and Link, and the Slow Mo Guys.

Ellen’s ongoing success comes 20 years after she came out – damaging her career for a number of years.

Ellen DeGeneres opened up about how she had a breakdown on set whilst filming an iconic episode of her sitcom in which she came out.

Her character came out on the episode, as well as Ellen herself.

But she said in an interview with the Associate Press: “It became more important to me than my career… I suddenly said, ‘Why am I being, you know, ashamed of who I am just to be successful and famous in society’s eyes?’ ”

“I thought, the character on the show is clearly struggling. There’s no relationship,” she added.

“It was pretty clear it would be an easy transition for her to realise she was gay, which was why her relationships with men weren’t working out.”

“They really didn’t give us the OK [at first]. We were trying to convince them to do it, and there were closed-door meetings,” DeGeneres continued.
