A ‘gay-for-pay’ porn actor has been found guilty of brutally murdering his millionaire boyfriend.

The Sean Cody actor was charged with murder back in 2015, when Texas retiree Jake Clyde Merendino was found dead.

51-year-old Mr Merendino was stabbed more than 20 times in the stomach and chest, causing his death.

Mario Romo – whose real name is David Enrique Meza – now faces life behind bars after being found guilty of the murder, according to the San Diego Tribune.

He was also found guilty of conspiring to obstruct justice by covering up the murder.

The court heard that Meza and his older lover drove to a Mexico, where the property magnate was buying $300,000 oceanfront condo.

Federal authorities say the couple checked into Bobby’s By The Sea hotel, not far from the new condo.

Meza, 26, then lured his older lover to the side of the road near Rosarito in the early morning hours of May 2, 2015.

He stabbed the retiree 24 times, gutting him and delivering two final slashes to the neck, according to evidence presented at trial.

The victim was then dragged to a cliff and dumped over the edge.

Meza had been made the heir to the millionaire’s estate shortly before the murder – meaning he stood to inherit the Texan’s $3 million estate upon his death.

After the murder he changed clothes and attempted to exit back to the US with his pregnant fiancée, Taylor Langston.

Meza originally denied having ever been in Mexico, before admitting to luring the older man to the cliff edge in a bid to steal his stereo equipment.

He was unable to explain to prosecutors why he never took the equipment, and claimed to have cycled off.

Eleven days after the killing, Meza mailed a handwritten will dated in December 2014 that appeared to leave him Merendino’s estate.

Meza also drained Merendino’s bank account, prosecutors said, and Google searched his name in connection to the murder.

Prosecutors said they did not believe the murder was premeditated, saying: “This is not the way to commit a plan-in-advance murder.”

Langston, his girlfriend, who was also charged as an accomplice, pleaded guilty in February to obstruction of justice for her role in the cover-up.
