Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams says he had “gay experiences” as a teenager.

The comedian split up with his supermodel wife, Lara Stone, in 2015 and has remained single since.

Walliams told Attitude magazine: “I wouldn’t totally rule it out [finding love with a man].

“I had gay experiences growing up, which I enjoyed.

“I was a teen and in a lot of all-male environments.

“I am naturally very camp. When I was at school I used to play Wonder Woman in the playground.

“I’m attracted to women”, he added.

“Sometimes I think it would be simpler if I wasn’t because people think I’m gay and I’m camp.

“It would just be quite easy but I do find women really, really attractive.”

The Little Britain star was married for five years to Lara Stone, after a whirlwind romance that began in 2009.

Since the new series of Britain’s Got Talent first aired at the weekend, he has been criticised by some for a ‘gay act’.

Walliams often flirts with male contestants on the show, but viewers are beginning to label the running joke as “offensive”.

On the Saturday night show Walliams joked and flirted with policeman Daniel Graham, 33.

Some fans of the show said that the suggestive comments had grown to be inappropriate and the routine was now “demeaning”.

The TV star previously said that he believes sexuality “can change over the years” and that he hates it when people “confess or reveal their sexuality”.

Asked about his sexuality, Walliams told the Radio Times: “I think it’s all about falling in love with the person and that is overlooked, really.

“I hate it when people ‘confess’ or ‘reveal’ their sexuality and also things can change for people over the years.

“So it is about the person but I also think it goes beyond that.

“You don’t just fall in love with someone’s body, do you? You fall in love with someone’s soul and heart and brain.”

He previously told a TV Magazine that dressing up as a girl during his childhood provided him with an escape from homophobic taunts.

He told The Sun: “I know there is fascination with me because I’m camp, yet over the years I’ve been connected to some very beautiful women.
