It has been revealed that Teletubbies star Po featured in a lesbian sex scene.

The BBC children’s series aired from 1997 to 2001, and became a timeless hit.

Pui Fan Lee, a Chinese-British actress, was the voice of the iconic children’s TV character for many years.

It’s now turned out that the voice of Po has also been voicing some more interesting stories – including a same-sex sex scene.

The actress starred in Channel 4 show Metrosexuality, which aired right after Teletubbies finished.

In the drama, Pui’s character performed a sex act on another girl, which is quite a bit different to bumbling Po.

Pui, 45, defeded her varied career, saying: “I didn’t take the lesbian role to be deliberately controversial.

“Yes I was Po. But I am an actress too and the role looked interesting, exciting and challenging.”

Fan Lee has since returned to children’s entertainment, now well-known to a new generation of kids as the host of Show Me Show Me on CBeebies.

The show featured four main characters, in the form of Po, Laa-Laa, Tinky Winky and Dipsy.

Noo Noo the vacuum also made the odd appearance.

Tinky Winky, played by actor Dave Thompson, was allegedly kicked off the show for being “too camp”.

American Reverend Jerry Falwell claimed he thought Tinky Winky was “promoting homosexuality” due to his purple colouring, triangle-shaped antenna and for holding a handbag.
