Watch: Jennifer Hudson blows the house down in G-A-Y performance

Hourse after appearing on The Voice, Jennifer Hudson took to the stage at G-A-Y in London – and brought the house down with her signature Dreamgirls track.

The music legend is currently in London as a judge on The Voice UK, which aired its live semi-final show on Saturday night.

But within hours of filming the TV show in its West London studios, the Dreamgirls legend was on stage in London’s largest gay club, Heaven.

The star blew the house down by reprising her biggest track from Dreamgirls, And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going. She landed an Oscar in 2006 for her role in the film version of Dreamgirls.

Glee’s Amber Riley is currently appearing in a West end revival of Dreamgirls.

Jennifer Hudson previously released a cute new music video featuring a same-sex wedding, and addressing issues sometimes faced by LGBT people.

The video for her track ‘I Still Love You!’ features the story of a father struggling to cope with his gay son getting married.

As well as being a singer and film star, Hudson was also the ambassador for the Human Rights Campaign’s ‘Turn It Up For Change’ campaign.

Original Dreamgirls Broadway star Jennifer Holliday was expected to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration earlier this year – but the singer swiftly cancelled the plans after a hostile reaction online from her LGBT fans.
