Team Trump has only gone and upset the Irish ahead of St Patrick’s Day

President Trump has been criticised for various things since taking office but Twitter won’t let him forget this latest blunder.

Tweeting a special edition ‘Make America Great Again’ hat for sale, Trump has managed to insult the Irish.

The green version of the hats, which became a fixture in Trump’s Presidential campaign, feature a glaring error which Twitter won’t let him forget.

Instead of a shamrock with three leaves, the hat has been produced with a four-leafed clover on the back.

Team Trump tweeted a link to the $50 baseball cap: “Capture the luck of the Irish with this Make America Great Again Hat. While supplies last!”

The GOP also tweeted, saying: “They’re going to go fast—get ready for #StPatricksDay by grabbing a green #MAGA hat!”

But many responded to point out the error.

One user tweeted: “That’s not a Shamrock! Make America Smart Again #MASA not #MAGA”.

“President Trump declares more fake news. Everyone knows that shamrock has four leaves not three as implied by troublemakers,” wrote another.

And various people from Ireland also tweeted the US President to say that they didn’t want to be associated with him or for his campaign to cash in on St Patrick’s Day.

“crass attempt2make money off the back of #StPatricksDay low!BTW shamrock look like this not cheap&nasty&nowt2do with #Eire” reads another tweet.
