The extremely emotional video this woman gave her girlfriend something life-saving, which nobody else could, is truly special.

Alana Duran, who was diagnosed with lupus at age 12, shared her story on Facebook.

Her girlfriend Lori, surprised Alana whose kidneys had failed as a result of her lupus.

Alana’s family had all been tested for a match, but none were a match to donate the kidney.

After checking whether they were a match, Lori prepared a pretty incredible surprise for her.

The couple met on Tinder, so Lori made the surprise Tinder-themed box of goodies, and at the bottom was the news that she would give up a kidney, in order for Alana to come off dialysis.

The cards read that tattoos are cool, but she would rather get matching scars.

Of course Alana is overwhelmed with emotion at the news, and immediately breaks down, saying “I need to call my mom”.

As most of you know I was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 12. Lupus is an autoimmune disease where my body’s immune…

Posting on Facebook, Alana wrote: “Who knew that when we both swiped right on Tinder that day, that we would be more than just girlfriends but that she would be my kidney donor! It’s so funny how things work out. Both of us going into this relationship not expecting anything out of the ordinary. It’s just so amazing to me that she was willing to get tested and now she’s super excited to donate one of her kidneys to me. Lori, I love you so much and I’m so excited that we get to do this together. You’re the absolute best.”

Her stepfather Jim Scott, remembers not knowing what lupus was when he joined the family.

He said: “I’ve seen grown men stand up to things that a lot of people couldn’t find the courage to face…I have never seen courage like I see in a young lady who might weigh 100 pounds and is definitely not much more than five feet tall, but to me is ten feet tall and invincible. I’ve wept a lot of tears in my life, but the tears of joy I’ve wept the last 48 hours have been the most heartfelt in 25 years.”

“All of this, I cannot forget to add, is due to a young lady who just recently joined our family by choice. I commend, in the strongest possible terms, the courage and commitment of Lori to Alana. I have seen the love between two people blossom in many ways, but the commitment I’ve seen between Lori and Alana is the kind of thing that would make any parent puff up with pride, and Lori’s mom and dad definitely have every reason to glow with pride at the wonderful young woman they have raised.”
