Rose Leslie has stripped off for a steamy lesbian shower scene in the first episode of new legal drama The Good Fight.

The Scottish actress, who shared sex scenes with heartthrob Kit Harington on Game of Thrones as wildling Ygritte, was seen getting hot and bothered with her on-screen girlfriend Amy, played by Helene Yorke, as the pair romped in the shower.

The spin-off from The Good Wife follows Leslie’s character Maia as she joins her godmother Diane Lockhart – played by Christine Baranski – at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms after passing the bar.

As well as getting up close and personal in the confines of a hot shower during Sunday’s episode on CBS, the long-term couple was also shown mostly naked in bed, with Maia resting her head on Amy as they stared into each other’s eyes.

Leslie is not the first LGBT lead character in the show’s universe, after Archie Panjab attracted plaudits for her portrayal of bisexual character Kalinda Sharma early on in The Good Wife’s run.

However, Panjab quit the show in its sixth season amid rumours of an on-set rift, and a return for The Good Fight is unlikely.

Bi actor Alan Cumming, who also had a key role in The Good Wife, is also not expected to appear in the spin-off.

Leslie has joined Good Wife alumni Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo, who are reprising their roles for the new female-focused show.

Maia’s relationship with Amy was revealed in December, when the trailer for the show featured the pair kissing, and photos in Entertainment Weekly saw the characters cuddling together in bed.

The remaining nine episodes of The Good Fight’s first season will be screened on CBS’s streaming service, CBS All Access.
