Rosie O’Donnell has said she won’t be playing Steve Bannon on SNL
Rosie O’Donnell has shut down rumours that she might appear on Saturday Night Live as Steve Bannon.
The Trump critic recently posted a picture of herself impersonating Trump’s chief strategist Bannon, sparking gossip that she might appear on SNL.
The rumours were bolstered up after Melissa McCarthy hilariously parodied Sean Spicer, the White House Press Secretary, in the last two shows.

O’Donnell, who used to have her own talk show, hinted that she might be “available” for the roll on twitter early this month: “If called I will service”.
She confirmed to TMZ that she had not been asked to play Bannon on the show and said it was simply a “funny idea”.
“That was the whole impression, the photoshop. That was it from start to finish. I’m also not in the cast so there’s that,” she explained.
“No – that’s an alternate fact,” she said about the rumours. “Someone tweeted it as an idea – after Melissa was so brilliant… just a funny idea.”
O’Donnell has been in feuds with the Trump administration before.
“You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” Kelly said, before Trump barged in saying: “Only Rosie O’Donnell”.
