A gay couple shared a very sweet moment on kiss cam.

Kiss Cam is a staple of US sports, watching loved up couples share a special moment as the rest of the stadium cheers.

Once upon a time you’d have never seen a gay kiss on the screens, but now things are changing.

The lucky guy, Steve Velkei, and his husband, Jhamal Robinson had gone along to watch a Los Angeles Lakers game.

The couple have been season ticket holders for a decade, and are huge fans of the team.

After 10 years of basketball and two years married, they got their special moment on kiss cam.

“It was a real moment and I don’t recall ever seeing that before at a game,” Velkei told Outsports.

“I am glad the Lakers took the step and the crowd roared.

“I wanted to acknowledge the moment and get some exposure so that it encourages the organization to do it more.”

Sadly the footage wasn’t archived to be watched again, but this snap shows the special moment.

It’s not the first gay kiss on kiss cam.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the NFL gave hope that things might be changing with this super cute ad.

Entitled ‘Love Has No Labels’, it features two same-sex couples on the kiss-cam, as well as promoting friendships between people of different races, religions and genders.

“Kiss Cams have been a part of sports culture for years,” reads the beginning of the ad.

“At the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando, they became a part of something bigger,” it adds.
