A man has been charged with punching a police horse in an angry attack.

Gary Dornan is accused of hitting the animal in Stirling, Scotland.

He’s accused of breaching the peace by police after conducting himself in a disorderly manner and striking the police horse.

It’s alleged it was part of a violent rant in which he used homophobic language towards the officer.

he was also charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by uttering threats of violence and homophobic remarks while on the way to the police station.

The attack is said to have taken place Wednesday afternoon.

He denied both charges and Sheriff Michael Wood granted bail, with a trial set for May 8.

It comes after an evangelical preacher was cleared of homophobia in Scotland.

A teen boy had said the man was abusive to him, but he was cleared of all charges after spending a night in jail.
