JK Rowling went head-to-head with Piers Morgan and it’s fair to say she won

British journalist and Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has clashed with esteemed writer and everyday badass JK Rowling, and it’s fair to say she won.

Morgan appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday in an attempt to defend President Trump’s executive order, which has been coined the Muslim ban by many.

The ban, which prevented travelers from seven Muslim-majority states, caused protests across America as well as internationally.

However, Morgan stood to defend the order after Maher suggested that a Clinton administration would not have the same list of disasters in such a short span of time.

“There is no Muslim ban,” Morgan said, causing the panel to erupt at him. “Eighty-five percent of the world’s Muslims were not affected,” he retaliated.

Australian comedian Jim Jeffries was quick to intervene: “Oh, f*ck off! It’s a fucking Muslim ban!

“Hitler didn’t kill the Jews on the first day, he worked up to it!”

Morgan had little to no response, and accused the comedian of “hysteria” which prompted Jeffries to say “You just like that you won The Apprentice and you have a famous friend, mate.”

The exchange was a delightful fiasco, and famed writer J.K. Rowling decided to pitch in on the clip.

“Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to f*ck off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I’d always imagined,” she wrote on Twitter.

Morgan responded with “This is why I’ve never read a single word of Harry Potter,” lame we know.

Rowling retaliated: “Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bullshit on live TV?

“If only you’d read Harry Potter, you’d know the downside of sucking up to the biggest bully in school is getting burned alive.”

Despite clearly winning the argument, Rowling through one last piece of shade as she tweeted out a picture from when she won British Book Awards’ book of the year, over Morgan’s autobiography alongside the hashtag #stillhurts.
