A reality star has admitted faking a lesbian relationship.

Former Geordie Shore star Chantelle Connelly has been splashed across gossip pages for weeks, after photos of her getting intimate with Ex on the Beach’s Jemma Lucy.

The pair fuelled rumours after they took part in a naked photoshoot together and convinced fans they were an item with snaps of them kissing – but Connelly came clean on Facebook.

She wrote: “Just to let everyone know the whole me and @jem_lucy relationship was laugh since the papers started it we rode it and had the last laugh… I ain’t a lesbian!”

The pair have been pictured together for months, getting cuddly in nightclubs and kissing in public – but Connelly revealed it was an elaborate ruse.

Lucy previously claimed on Instagram: “Yes, I am going out with Chantelle. We have been together for about a month”

In a graphic live stream she spoke about “l**cking out Chantelle”.

Connelly’s former Geordie Shore co-star Gaz Beadle recently spoke out about closeted gay footballers – taking aim at people who fake straight relationships to stay in the closet.

He said: “There have been footballers who we all know are gay and have gone to great lengths to keep it out of the papers. We’d respect you more for facing up to it, lads, instead of spending a wedge to preventing us all finding out that you’re not into lasses after all. I think we’ve probably guessed and don’t care anyway..

He added: “Yes, private life is private…I know that. But what f***ing misery it must be to live a lie. You can only do something about a s*** situation if you stand up against it and challenge it head on (no pun intended).”

The reality star added they should open up “if [they] are happy enough to let [their] balls slap against another lad.”
