Netflix has released the date for the season five debut of Orange is the New Black.

Keen fans will be eager to known what happened after the show was left on a cliffhanger – with Daya pointing a gun at CO Humphrey.

However, it seems like the streaming giant wants us to wait a little longer to find out the answer, revealing the show will not return until June 9.

In a short clip, released on Wednesday to mark the announcement, very little is given away about what the main story line could be.

According to Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee, the new season will only span three days.

But will be “very detailed” and ” very intense”.

Last year, Samira Wiley, who played Poussey Washington, announced her engagement to one of the show’s writers, Lauren Morelli.

The multi-award winning show has grown from strength to strength over the years and increased the cast to include well-known LGBT celebrities such as Ruby Rose.
