TV dating show Blind Date is being lined up for a return to TV screens, with a very popular host in mind.

Graham Norton is now the odds on favourite to host the show’s return, which has been off screens for 13 years.

It had previously been hosted by the icon that was Cilla Black, who passed away in 2015.

The classic dating format saw one picker pitch questions to three potential dates, all of whom were out of view.

After the questions were answered, he or she would choose their partner to go on a blind date with, only then seeing their face for the first time.

Cilla did 18 years as the show’s host, pulling back the door to reveal hundreds of newly matched couples.

The new series will be revamped from Cilla’s editions, which aired on ITV.
