A number of victims have come forward with their stories, including two boys who said they were labelled “faggot of the week” and forced to perform oral sex on other players.

Other incidents saw members of the team forced to strip naked and urination.

As well as damages, the parents of the teens are looking for staff to be given anti-hazing training and a process to log and monitor complaints.

In the lawsuit, the Chicago Tribune reports a security guard walked in on chanting in the changing room where he witnessed an act he described as “wrong”.

Although he left the incident, he notified a team official who allegedly failed to take action.

Eventually, action was taken on the incident where the team was “educated” on what they were doing and forced to perform ‘community service’.

So far no criminal charges have been brought against anyone and two of the coaches have resigned with a third expected to leave at the end of the school year.

In March last year, three students were charged after they assaulted another student using a broom handle.
