Sweden’s 2012 Eurovision winner Loreen has come out as bisexual.

The singer came out officially as bisexual on Swedish television in an interview with TV host Renée Nyberg.

“Many people are so focused on sex, on sexuality. Love is so much more. I usually say ‘Love is where you find it’,” she said in the interview.

Nyberg asked her to define whether that meant she was bisexual, and Loreen said she “quite simply” was.

The star refused to give details about her current relationship blaming the fact that she was “married to the job”, but insisted that she has a “functional sex life”.

“It’s important to have,” she quipped.

The star previously hinted that she wasn’t heterosexual in 2011 when she told the Swedish magazine QX people that it would be wrong to say she only liked men.

“I’m open. I want to find love,” she said. “And if I find it with a woman and it feels right, then it is right.’

The pop princess, who won the competition with ‘Euphoria’, took the first place prize with 372 points in 2012.

Since then she has released her debut album “Heal”, and working to compete in Sweden’s traditional Eurovision preliminary competition, Musikfestivalen.

She is also working on her new album Paperlight which is set for release early this year.
