Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed she is the Queen of Twitter after taking a pop at Vice President Mike Pence.
Responding to an old tweet Mr Pence put out during the election campaign, where he called a ban on Muslims “offensive and unconstitutional”, she quoted a verse from the Bible.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Matthew 16:26,” she said on the social media site.
It wasn’t long, however, before the trolls were out in force to attack the celebrated author.
Though never one to miss a beat, JK was quick to take a few of them down.
First, she reminded them that anyone is free to talk about politics.
Then she tackled some of the abuse – such as being called “Mrs Shitty Writer”
