A new biopic of Britney Spears’ life has been made – and the first glimpse has now been released.

Britney Ever After is set to chart the rise and fall and rise of Britney’s career in a new feature length film made for television.

According to the production company behind the film, it will detail “the tumultuous story of pop icon Britney Spears’ rise to fame, fall from grace and eventual triumphant resurrection, firmly securing her position as one of the world’s greatest entertainers”.

Britney Ever After premieres in the US on February 18.

The film will air in the UK for the first time a week later on February 26 at 9PM, on Lifetime.

However it will feature a set of actors, rather than Britney herself.

A representative for the star said she “will not be contributing in any way… nor does it have her blessing”.

The TV film is made by the people who produced a film of Whitney Houston’s life following her sudden death.

Britney is still fully alive – despite a hoax Tweet posted by Sony over Christmas, when their account got hacked.

Now the first trailer of the film has been released – and it features plenty of Britney’s iconic dancing in little clothing.

But if you’re hoping to enjoy her hits throughout the film, you’ll not be so lucky, as it contain none of her classic songs.
