Australia watched a ton of lesbian porn while blocking their right to marry
Data has revealed that lesbians are incredibly popular in Australia… when they’re not trying to get married.
Proponents of equal marriage in Australia suffered a major setback last year when attempts to reach a cross-party deal on the issue were derailed.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull refuses to permit a free Parliamentary vote on equal marriage, while pro-LGBT opposition parties ensured the defeat of plans to put equality to a public vote.
Away from politics, however. a lot of Australians were celebrating same-sex relations on a regular basis in 2016.
Data released by Pornhub this week revealed that ‘Lesbian’ was the most popular search term on the adult entertainment site, while the lesbian category was by far the most popular down under.
The site’s analysts noted that “Lesbian is by far more popular in North America and Australia than anywhere else” – though it also made it onto the top rankings in India, where gay sex between men was made illegal in 2013.
Lesbian was the top search term in a number of countries in 2016, the data showed – popular in the US, UK, Canada, France, Brazil and the Netherlands, among others.
The website also recently broke down what British users of Pornhub Gay were searching for.
Its Insight team revealed: “The most viewed category on Pornhub Gay in the United Kingdom is ‘Straight Guys’, followed by ‘Black’.
“They were also the two most popular gay categories in the United States, although ‘Black’ came first among Americans. Falling into third place is ‘Daddy’.
“When compared to the rest of the world, the ‘Fetish’ category is 48% more popular among gay viewers in the UK and gay ‘twink’ videos are also 45% more popular in the UK.
“The most popular gay search in the UK is ‘straight first time’, which was also the number one search in the United States. Of the top 10 gay searches, we found that half involve videos featuring straight guys.
“The top relative searches showed that regional slang like “british chav” is nearly 1200% more popular in the U.K., along with ‘chav’, ‘british lads’, ‘english lads’ and ‘wanking’.”
