Republican lawmaker: Gays are like ISIS because they ‘metaphorically’ kill people
Unhinged Republican lawmaker Gordon Klingenschmitt has claimed that gay people are like ISIS terrorists who “metaphorically” throw people off buildings.
Gordon Klingenschmitt, the Republican member to the Colorado House of Representatives for the 15th district, made the claim on his televangelist show ‘Pray In Jesus Name’.
Mr Klingenschmitt, a disgraced former Navy chaplain, compared the executions of homosexuals under ISIS to the treatment of Christian business owners who violated anti-discrimination laws by refusing to serve gay people.
In the clip snipped by Right Wing Watch, he says: “We compare these so-called religious police inside of the totalitarian state of Syria, that are going to put people in jail or worse, kill them… doesn’t that sound to you like the previous story?
“The religious police in [America] are going around and saying because you’re Christian, you’re going to go to jail for six months.
“How is that any different? We have religious police here in America that are doing the same, on a lesser scale, to the Christians here in America that the Islamic State is doing to the homosexuals in Syria!
“I’m appealing now to the homosexuals: shouldn’t you treat others as you would wish to be treated?
“Shouldn’t you treat the Christian couple as if they ought to have religious freedom, instead of hiring religious police to metaphorically throw them off a roof?

“You don’t like it when it’s done to you, so why are you doing it to others?”
Mr Klingenschmitt has a long track record of anti-LGBT extremism.
Earlier this year he claimed that Caitlyn Jenner needs to be exorcised of her transgender ‘demons’.
He has also claimed that gay people will soon demand the right to have sex in the houses of good honest Christians.
Prior to his election, Klingenschmitt claimed that gay soldiers cause problems in the military by “taking breaks on the combat field to change diapers”, because their “treacherous sin” means they “lose control of their bowels”.
