Calvin Klein offers to design inauguration dress for Melania Trump if noone else will
Calvin Klein has stepped in and offered to make Melania Trump clothes if no other designers will.
The famed designer told a TMZ reporter that he would make something for Trump for the inauguration ball in January.
He replied: “Of course I would.”
Klein goes against a number of designers who have said they won’t design with the former model in mind.
Tom Ford, Mark Jacobs, Christian Siriano and Humberto Leon have all said they will not design for Trump.

Jacobs said: “Personally, I’d rather put my energy into helping out those who will be hurt by [Donald] Trump and his supporters.”
While Siriano adds that he and the first lady “don’t share the same values”.
Sophie Theallet, a French fashion designer who made clothing for Michelle Obama said she wouldn’t work with Melania.
IN an open letter she wrote: “As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom, and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady.”
Adding: “The rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by.”
But Klein is not alone, other designers who have said they will make clothes for the soon-to-be first lady include Thom Browne, Diane von Furstenberg and Marcus Wainwright.
