A militant anti-gay preacher turned up to a shopping mall to tell children Santa Claus isn’t real.

Pastor David Grisham, from Alaska, rocked up at the Texas mall over the weekend to shout at children that their parents are lying to them about Santa.

In the video he says: “I want to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus. Santa Claus does not exist.

“The Christmas season is about Jesus. Jesus was born 2016 years ago. He was born in a manger in a small town called Bethlehem. That is the truth about Christmas.”

Parents soon asked the pastor to stop, telling the preacher it’s not for him to decide what their children learn.

“The man you’re going to see today is just a man in a suit dressed up like Santa but Santa doesn’t exist, Santa is not real”, he tells the kids.

Pastor Grisham, a Westbro Baptist Church supporter, routinely turns up to pride parades to hand out anti-LGBT leaflets.

He previously tried to sue the city of Fort Worth claiming he felt his civil rights were undermined when police refused to let him hand out leaflets within the festival area.

The pastor ran for Mayor of Amarillio, Texas, receiving 1% of the vote.
