Ellen DeGeneres’s famous Oscars selfie has been named one of the greatest photos of all time by Time magazine.

Time unveiled their compilation of the 100 most influential pics of all time in their latest issue – and right in there was Ellen’s selfie from the time she hosted the Oscars.

The snap was taken at the 2014 ceremony, the last time Ellen hosted the ceremony.

It became the most retweeted picture of the year on Twitter, with more than 3.3million people sharing the image to date.

“The photos aren’t in any particular order but I think we know which is the most influential,” Ellen said.

Last week Ellen received another, even more amazing award, as President Obama gave her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The famous shot features superstars Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Jared Leto, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong’o and her brother Peter and, of course, Ellen.

Except there’s a catch – the snap was actually, technically, taken by Bradley Cooper, who is holding the camera.

But we’ll give Ellen the credit for it, because everyone loves Ellen.

Or at least they do now – when she came out as a lesbian ABC axed her show and her career appeared to tank.
