Andy Cohen reveals he had skin cancer

Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen has revealed he had skin cancer.

The 48-year-old made the announcement last week while co-hosting “Live with Kelly” with Kelly Ripa and said she may have saved his life.

On the show Andy told Kelly: “I had a black dot on my bottom lip and you and I were at a party for Anderson’s [Cooper] mom in April, and you said, ‘You have a black dot on your lip, I don’t think that’s something good.’

“It was melanoma and they removed it, and I just want to thank you because you were so dogmatic.

“The lip heals very well and I really had a chunk removed out of it.”

Known for being a ‘sun-worshipper’, Andy has said the scare has changed how he will act in the future.

“I am tanorexic, I love the sun,” he added.

“And I of course never thought that kind of thing would happen to me, and it will change my relationship to the sun.”

The Out star recently joined other LGBT celebrities on a new ‘highest paid’ list.

The research by Variety showed a number of stars including Anderson Cooper and Rachel Maddow who were on the list.

Earlier this year on his show, Iggy Azalea said the craziest thing she’d heard about herself is that she used to be a boy.
