Trans activist Sarah McBride just summed up perfectly why Hillary Clinton’s support for trans rights didn’t cost her the election.

The Human Rights Campaign National Press Officer nailed the reasons why Sec. Clinton was right to back trans rights during the election campaign.

Some commentators had claimed that Secretary had spent too much time talking about “bathrooms”, and not enough on income inequality.

But Ms McBride hit back in the accusations in an articulate and moving series of posts on Twitter.

The row comes following the news that transphobic North Carolina Governor is fighting to keep his office by cheating voters who backed his Democratic opponent.

Ms McBride became the first ever out trans person to address a national convention this year when she gave a passionate speech endorsing Hillary Clinton.
