A Swedish guy has offered up the greatest honour – his hand in marriage for anyone in America who wants to get away from Trump’s USA.

Following Trump’s surprise victory in this month’s Presidential election, Gustav Hallen has offered up a solution for one lucky American.

He has put the listing on eBay, with a starting bid of $50,000, and he says it is meant to be a little bit of a joke.

Despite that the listing breaks a load of Sweden’s rules regarding legitimate marriages, as well as eBay’s terms, it is probably quite a nice prospect for some.

He told CNN: “I noticed the reactions to the election result on Facebook — people were upset so I just thought I would do something fun for my friends to laugh at.

“I set the price so high that I wouldn’t get an offer. It was just for fun. Then I saw a lot of people were sharing it. The best thing was the reaction. People laughed at it.”

Meanwhile in the US, one of President-elect Trump’s potential picks for the Supreme Court has in the past said he thinks gay people should be jailed for having consensual sex in private.

Trump gave an interview in 2000 in which he defended gay people and Mexican migrants in the US.

Fast forward to 2016, and Trump has vowed to leave same-sex marriage alone, saying it is “already settled”, but he is coming for Planned Parenthood, and has said he will appoint a pro-life Supreme Court justice.
