‘Gay people, where were you?’ Big Brother contestants melt down after finding out about Trump
Contestants on the latest US version of Big Brother were just informed about the Presidential election… and they didn’t take it well.
The reality show’s online spin-off series Big Brother: Over the Top is currently underway, with the six remaining housemates locked in the House and deprived of the news on election day.
The housemates were finally let in on the result as part of a challenge yesterday… and they did not take it well.

Big Brother host Julie Chen explained to the housemates: “You are the first cast to be locked in the Big Brother house during an election.
“That election took place on Tuesday, and it’s pretty safe to say you are the only six people in the country, maybe in the entire world, who do not know who won. It’s time to find out.
“The next President of the United States will be… Donald Trump.”
The housemates initially reacted with stunned silence to the news – with some wondering if it was a joke or a trick, while others struggled to contain their emotions.
Jason Roy, an out housemate from Massachusetts. said: “Gay people, where were you? Minorities, where were you?”
Another housemate said: “The people who typically vote are older, white Republican males, and I was really hoping that our generation would take their voice, and let it be heard.”
Roy added: “Can we just stay in here for the next four years?”
Just 14% of LGBT people voted for Trump, according to exit polling – a marked decrease from previous GOP candidates. However, Hillary Clinton did not benefit, as many LGBT voters backed third-party candidates.
