PinkNews has stumbled upon what looks like one of the most risqué bid for tourism ever…

Okay so maybe it’s not an official Northern Territory government tourism ad, but instead it was created by a group called NT Official.

The CU in the NT campaign features a number of t-shirts and vests including the slogan.

NT Official hopes to encourage people to visit Australia’s Northern Territory.

The group describes itself as an “independent underground campaign”, and is mainly targeting young people.

“We are a fronted by a guerrilla group of people with the aim of promoting travel awareness to the Northern Territory region,” a spokesperson from NT Official told Mashable.

“We want people to recognise that if they want to go to the NT they shouldn’t hesitate. They should just go and tell their friends to ‘CU in the NT!’”

The page even posted, responding to the news that the Canadian immigration website had crashed in response to Trump winning the election.

They wrote: “The Canadian immigration website may have crashed, but rest assured we’re still open. We would like extend an open invitation to any Americans who’d like to get away from the USA. We think you’ll love the warm & friendly attitude in the top end of Australia.”

The Northern Territory Government is even considering taking legal action over the satirical campaign, which closely resembles an official tourism ad.

The problem for the government is not the language it alludes to, but instead it is NT Official’s use of official tourism photos for its campaign.
