Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and J.K. Rowling are among the celebrities to blast the Republican’s Presidential victory.

As the world learnt that Donald Trump is set to be the 45th US President, a host of celebrities took to Twitter to blast the Republican candidate’s win.

Lady Gaga – who appeared alongside Hillary Clinton at her final rally – was one of the first to comfort her followers, following weeks of attacking the President-elect.

“Stand up for kindness, equality, and love. Nothing will stop us,” she told her fans.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry – who loves Clinton so much she dressed as her for Halloween – struggled to hide her outrage, retweeting Gaga as she told her 94 million followers: “THE REVOLUTION IS COMING.”

Another battle cry came from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who wants to see people “stand together”, “stick up for the vulnerable” and “challenge bigots”.

Rowling has consistently attacked Trump throughout the campaign – claiming he is even worse the Voldemort.

Other found the results stranger than fiction, as the makes of Black Mirror, American Horror Story and The West Wing shared their dismay.

George Takei put things into perspective as he attempted to inspire hope and dignity.

Even superheroes got involved – with Captain America himself blasting his new “bully” President.

Ariana Grande spoke for many.

But it wouldn’t be the US Election without the one and only Cher…
