Ruby Rose reunites with ex-girlfriend and fans could not be happier

Rosie West November 8, 2016

Fans have described the news as the best thing to happen in 2016.

Ruby Rose delighted fans on Sunday (November 6) after she shared this photo with former girlfriend – and The Veronicas star – Jessica Origliasso.

The genderfluid actress – who recently hit out at Brighton Pride and Kanye West – shared the snap shortly after Origliasso revealed the pair’s “magical” relationship is officially back on.

“I’m so proud to be with a woman I not only adore but I respect and admire highly,” Origliasso told the Herald Sun.

Describing Rose as “the kindest, most ambitious, most compassionate woman”, she added that “neither of us were necessarily prepared for how we would feel and the fact that life can lead you back to something so special yet have it feel completely new again.

“It’s absolutely magical.”

The pair have been friends for years and regularly share photographs alongside Jessica’s twin sister and bandmate Lisa.

The Orange Is The New Black actress is also set to feature in The Veronica’s upcoming music video for ‘On Your Side’ – which is, rather aptly, about staying friends with your ex.

Following the news, fans of the couple were quick to share their excitement on social media – with some calling their reunion the best thing to come from 2016 so far!

Other fans praised the the pair for “singlehandedly saving 2016”, with another say she “might cry” – with happiness, we hope!

Fans were equally ecstatic last month, after Rose’s former OITNB co-star Samira Wiley announced she was engaged to one of the show’s writers, Laura Morelli.

Wiley – who played the popular Poussey Washington – posted a picture of the pair Instagram in October. The post featured a sparkling ring and the word “Yes”.

The pair fell in love on the set of the Netflix hit, after Morelli realised she was gay just days after joining the show in 2014.
