RuPaul has nailed his colours to the mast ahead of the US presidential election.

The Drag Race star declared tomorrow’s vote “the most important election in HERstory” as he urged Americans to “vote for your life”.

The Emmy award-winner backs Hillary Clinton, ending his message with the popular campaign slogan “I’m with her”:

The endorsement marks a stark contrast to the apparent views of fellow Drag Race judge Lucian Piane, who has consistently criticised Clinton.

The gay music producer recently tweeted a range of bizarre conspiracy theories about the Democratic candidate and her husband, former POTUS Bill.

Hillary Clinton has reiterated her commitment to the LGBT community in the final days of the election campaign, vowing to be an ally as president.

Opinion polls are pointing to a tight race with Republican nominee Donald Trump, whose ratings are extremely low among LGBT voters.

You can read PinkNews’s roundup of the two campaigns’ stances on LGBT issues here.
