Trump couldn’t believe a gay ‘Apprentice’ contestant wasn’t attracted to Ivanka

A former Apprentice contestant has revealed that Donald Trump could hardly believe another contestant was gay – because that meant he wasn’t attracted to Trump’s daughter.

Season six contestant Jean Hoffman wrote recently about the exchange, revealing that Trump was incredulous that daughter Ivanka “did nothing” for the gay competitor.

Hoffman was at a dinner early on during the taping of the season, along with Trump and her gay teammate Derek Arteta.

Trump was apparently “shocked” to find out that Arteta was gay.

“So you’re not attracted to my daughter?” he asked disbelievingly.

“So Ivanka does nothing for you?”

Making the moment even stranger, Hoffman noted that Ivanka wasn’t even at the dinner – but Trump’s wife, Melania, was – and yet he still chose his daughter “as the standard bearer of hotness to test for gayness in men.”

Not that it’s the first time Trump’s made us all feel a bit uncomfortable about his relationship with Ivanka.

In 2004 he called her a “piece of ass” while talking to Howard Stern, and in 2006 he suggested that if she weren’t his daughter, the two of them would probably be dating.

Ivanka popped up in headlines again recently when the BuzzFeed CEO claimed that she’d once said she wanted to see “a mulatto c*ck,” which she strenuously denied.

Trump’s reaction to the gay contestant is all too plausible given that he’s been hit by a lawsuit from a former employee alleging homophobic discrimination.

Meanwhile Trump posed on stage with a Pride flag, despite his continuing support of anti-LGBT policies.

A report on his charitable giving also revealed that he once gatecrashed a fundraising event for a nursery for kids with HIV and AIDS, despite not donating a single penny.

The report found that of 420 charities Trump has claimed a connection to, he had only given just one personal gift, of less than $10,000, since 2008.
