Ted Cruz is apparently worried about ‘mandatory sex change operations’ under Hillary
Republican Senator Ted Cruz is apparently worried that Hillary Clinton will make gender reassignment mandatory.
Cruz, who came second to Donald Trump in the Republican primaries earlier this year, is on the extreme anti-LGBT wing of the Republican Party.
This week, he tweeted a link to an article which warned about the impact of a Hillary Clinton administration.
The Conservative Review article, written by Daniel Horowitz, states: “By , we will have mandated sex change operations.
“Heck, our own military during a time of war and internal morale crisis has already published a handbook on sex changes.
“We simply don’t have the time to continue down this failed path. We’ve already been in the wilderness for 27 years.”
Raw Story notes that Cruz promptly deleted the article after people asked what on earth he was doing.
His team are now denying that he even sent the tweet.
A reporter for the Texas Tribune said: “Team Cruz says this tweet didn’t come from anyone authorised to use the account (that they know of). They’ve asked Twitter to look into it.”
Senator Cruz has strongly backed new anti-LGBT ‘religious freedom’ laws allowing religious people to discriminate against married gay couples and trans people, and also claimed transgender people are a threat to his daughters.
He doubled down on his anti-trans policies, by cracking jokes about Donald Trump after Mr Trump briefly came out in favour of trans rights.

Cruz said: “Earlier this week Donald Trump went on the Today Show and he decided to agree with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama that we need to allow grown men to use the little girls’ bathrooms.
“This is a matter of basic common sense. For Donald to agree with Hillary and Obama, that is political correctness on steroids.
“Let me make things real simple: Even if Donald Trump dresses up as Hillary Clinton, he shouldn’t be using the girls’ restroom.
“By the way I apologize for that image, it is going to haunt you at night, Donald in a bright blue pantsuit.
“Let me just say to Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show. Please give us that image.”
