Join the PinkNews Awards work experience scheme in London

During the PinkNews Awards, work experience placements will have an amazing chance to help with coverage of the event, to meet top politicians and business leaders, as well as leaders from the LGBT community.

The placement will also see you learn and practice news writing skills and events organisation, whilst meeting a series of high-profile political figures and inspirational members of the LGBT community.

Many people get the chance to interview a politician or celebrity, and are able to edit and publish their own articles by the time they leave.

Other successful candidates may also secure a placement learning and practising the key skills associated with online journalism: researching, interviewing, writing, editing and promoting news articles on social media.

Each year, we welcome around 24 people onto our scheme from a variety of backgrounds and connections to the LGBT community.

At PinkNews we are looking for people who are able to hit the ground running, who we can invest time and our expertise in, and welcome on board the busy team.

To apply, in the first instance, or for more information, please send a covering letter and a CV to joe.williams@pinknews.co.uk. You should hear back from us within a few working days.
