Former X Factor winner Steve Brookstein has ranted about “bitchy homosexuals” in his latest Twitter rant.
Brookstein rose to prominence on the original X Factor series in 2004, but was quickly ditched by his record label and fell into obscurity.
However, the failed reality star enjoys a second life as an internet troll, and this week hit out about gay people on the social network.
Responding to someone else’s tweet, he wrote: “oh look a bitchy homosexual. You don’t get many of those on Twitter.”
When a user encouraged him to “have a day off”, he responded: “I’m betting you’re gay.
“I have a theory about a bitchy queen gene that a few gay men have. I think you may have it.”
When another Twitter user questioned his comments, he responded: “boo hoo you big girl”.
Brookstein previously lamented that gay showbiz journalist Dan Wootton had not been infected with HIV.
He wrote: “All those people with HIV and not one of them is called Dan Wootton.”
Responding to critics, he added: “I have no interest in a bunch of gay men bitching because they see mentioning HIV as an attack on them. It’s not your virus.”
Brookstein has not had a charting album or single release in nearly a decade.
