Tourists spent a night a bed unaware that a transgender woman was buried in the bed frame.

The body of Amphon Kongsong was discovered at the Soi Buakhao hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, on Saturday (August 20) after a cleaner noticed a smell in a room and blood oozing from under the bed.

The body was believed to have been there for around four days, with a couple staying in the room the night before she was found.

They said they noticed a strange smell and asked the hotel to deal with it before staying in the room for the night.

Police chief, Apichai Kropphet, said that a 17 and 14-year-old admitted to killing Ms Kongsong after she asked to have sex with them.

He said they had been arrested and would be charged with murder and concealing the body.

It’s believed the victim checked into the room on August 16 and spent a few nights with the boys.

The older boy claimed to have got to know the 28-year-old trans woman through Facebook and went to the hotel after she convinced him to get a job in the area.

He added that a fight broke out when she made sexual advances towards him and he strangled her in a “fit of rage”, as his 14-year-old friend held down her legs.

Recently in Turkey, a trans woman’s body was found burnt after she was reported missing by friends.

Hande Kader was found after having been missing two weeks. A group has announced that they plan to hold protests in Istanbul despite a ban being in place.
