A brilliant swing dance by two men filmed earlier this year proves that it doesn’t matter who your dance partner is, as long as you’re having fun.

The video was shot at the Swingin’ Genova Weekend, Winter Edition, at the Biblioteca Universitaria di Genova back in February.

It features Max Pitruzzella and Thomas Blacharz in a fun and playful swing dance.

The sexual orientation of the dancers isn’t important, although Pitruzzella is married to a woman, but just the fact that they have fun and dance well together.

And after a playful start where the compere pretends to introduce Pitruzzella’s wife, and Blacharz comes out, the pair prove that it doesn’t matter who your dance partner is.

Same-sex dance partners have proven an issue for various TV dance and talent shows.

A routine on Dancing with the Stars earlier this year was praised for feauturing genderfluid America’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco in its first ever same-sex routine.

In the UK a couple made history by wining the ‘MADE on the Dancefloor’ competition late in 2015.

But on Strictly Come Dancing, bosses said they had “no plans” to allow couples to dance with same-sex partners.
