A new sci-fi RPG game sees two same-sex characters have sex with each other.

As the gaming industry continues to make progress with its approach to LGBT inclusion, the latest game to feature a gay sex scene does so on another planet.

The Technomancer is a science fiction action RPG set on Mars 200 years after the red planet is colonised.

Players take on the role of renegade soldier Zachariah in the game, as he goes on the run from the colony’s secret police.

Luckily, Zach is not alone on his journey for justice and is helped by various characters – including the dashing, one-armed Andrew.

As the game progresses, Andrew – who has a mechanical in place of a real one – and Zach get closer, culminating in a passionate sex scene between the, as seen below.

However, the pair are not the first to have gay sex in virtual deep space.

The Mass Effect games have featured a number of gay sex scenes, including a lesbian love affair in the very first addition of the series.

In Mass Effect 3, players could also encourage a gay love affair between two male characters, with makes BioWare praised for its inclusive approach.

Trans characters have also become a more regular fixture in the world of gaming, including the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Sadly, not everybody is a fan of the recent trend.

In 2014, Dragon Age: Inquisition –  also produced by BioWare – was banned in India because it featured a gay character.

Publisher Electronic Arts was force to cancel all pre-orders for the game from India and surrounding regions due to its same-sex content, which saw two male characters make love to each other.
