The ‘Queen of Karaoke’ used his car “as a deadly weapon”.

Kristian Churchill, known as Krystle Caress, has been jailed for nine years and four months after driving his car into a lesbian couple in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, the Sun reports.

The 38-year-old admitted two charges of grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and drink driving.

He was twice the drink drive limit when he targeted Nikita Price, 22, and her partner, Luci Gregory, 20 on April 17. Churchill was reportedly angry after previously being found guilty of abducting a 15-year-old boy.

Price and Gregory were both trapped under the wheels of Churchill’s Renault Megane.

The skin on Price’s left leg was torn off in the incident, while Gregory suffered a broken back and double leg fracture that has left her with a permanent limp, the court heard.

Judge Michael Burr told Churchill: “You drove your car fast at the two young women. You intended to harm them seriously. Cars can be used as a deadly weapon – that was your intention.”

“Nikita remembers the car coming at them really fast – she blacked out and came around unable to feel her leg,” said Prosecutor Matthew Roberts.

“Luci’s foot was in her face and she could tell from her screams she was in a significant amount of pain. Both women suffered life changing injuries – Nikita’s calf was torn off the bone.”

Gregory said: “I have nightmares that I’m still stuck under the car. I can’t work full time and I’m being treated for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

Price’s victim impact statement said: “The doctors managed to save my leg but I am in extreme pain every day. It may be years of operations and physiotherapy before I can walk again properly.”

Churchill performed as a drag queen at the Studio Bar Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.
