Christian TV host: We should sit back and let gays and Muslims kill eachother

A TV preacher has called on evangelicals to “sit back” and let LGBT people and Muslims wipe eachother out.

‘Popular’ [sic] ‘Christian’ [sic] TV ‘personality’ [sic] Pat Robertson is the host of nationally-syndicated TV show The 700 Club,  which airs on Disney-ABC channel Freeform.

On his show this week, he addressed the Orlando massacre. 49 people were killed and 53 injured in the shocking terrorist hate crime attack over the weekend, which saw a gunman open fire inside The Pulse gay bar in Orlando, Florida.

Robertson had spoken about “the dilemma of the liberals, the so-called progressives, because they have two favoured groups. One, the Muslims. Number two, the homosexuals.”

He said: “We’re looking at a favoured group by the left, the homosexuals, and that in Islam is punishable by death or imprisonment or some sanction, so what are the left going to do?

“How are they going to describe it? And they don’t know quite what to do now. The fact that this Islamic gentleman opens fire in a gay nightclub and kills almost 50 homosexuals, that says something and tells the fact that Islam is against homosexuality, so the liberals are going to be scrambling to find some rationale, I think they’re going to have a hard time doing it.”

He added: “I think for those of us who disagree with some of their policies, the best thing to do is to sit on the sidelines and let them kill themselves.”

The Christian Broadcast Network, which films The 700 Club, has initially insisted that Robertson was using the word “killing” in a “metaphorical” context despite his long history of anti-LGBT comments.

However, the CBN appears to have now mysteriously deleted its statement.
