A brilliant new campaign by the CDC aims to highlight the healthy lives of real people living with HIV.

With the input of more than 100 people living with HIV, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched an updated ad campaign called “HIV Treatment Works.”

The message behind the campaign? If you’re HIV positive, get treatment early and stick with it.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) HIV Treatment Works campaign for people living with HIV features the stories of individuals talking about how sticking to HIV treatment helps them stay healthy, protect others, do what they love, and live a longer, healthier life.

More than 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV. This campaign shows how people living with HIV have overcome barriers to get in care and stay on treatment. On this website, you will find information encouraging people living with HIV to get in care and stay on treatment, as well as resources on how to live well.

What does it mean to live with HIV?

The HIV Treatment Works campaign encourages people living with HIV to Get in Care, Stay in Care and Live Well. Today, you can live a longer, healthier life by being in medical care and on HIV treatment. People featured in these videos share how they live well with HIV and how you can, too.
