Bernie Sanders seen brunching with drag stars in West Hollywood gay bar (VIDEO)

The Democratic candidate stopped off on a “Sanders Stroll” of Los Angeles county

The Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders stopped by a Western-themed gay bar for brunch with some of the locals of West Hollywood, California.

Sanders told the crowd: “We need a government that represents all of us, not just the 1%” and was cheered by clientele.

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jasmine Masters apparently joked she was mid-tuck – and almost broke a nail – when she was told the senator from Vermont was in the bar.

A recent poll from USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times puts Sanders 1% ahead of Clinton, 44% to 43% for the June 7 California Primary, but notes that is within the margin of error.

He told a crowd at a fundraiser later the same day: “The purpose of our campaign is to change national priorities.

“We should not have 47 million people living in poverty. We should not have the highest rate of childhood poverty of almost any major country on earth.”

He also stopped off at the fairground at Santa Monica Pier, and rode the merry-go-round in a tradition that has become known as the ‘Sanders Stroll’. “He likes doing it,” a representative said.

Sanders has been one of the most consistently pro-LGBT candidates. In May, Sanders attacked the Republican party and HB2 (‘Transgender Bathroom Bill’) in North Carolina.

But he previously attracted criticism for claiming that LGBT lobbying groups are part of an “establishment” conspiracy because they endorsed Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton over him.
