Disney’s animated smash hit, Frozen, just took a step into the real world, as a live action stage version opens.

The show, which has been produced for Disney’s California Adventure Park, and the theatrical adaptation made its debut this weekend.

Frozen – Live at the Hyperion, is directed by Tony nominee Liesl Tommy and opened for excited fans on Friday, May 27.

The performance is filled with elaborate costumes, set pieces and special effects, to help the audience feel like they are really there in Arendelle.

The production has over 200 people making up the cast and crew, and a massive video wall measuring 2,200 square foot, to add a little extra magic to the performance.

The show is replacing Aladdin, which ran for 13 years.
